The 2020 fire season got off to a ripping start with the Quail Fire in Solano County near Winters. This was a fast moving, wind-driven fire that chewed through nearly 2000 acres in less than 48 hours. Fire crews had a hard time getting a handle on this fire thought the night as strong shifting winds made planning attacks difficult and dangerous. Even with the 1837 acres reported there were only 3 structures lost.
